Privacy Policy
Our Plain-Text Privacy Policy
LeadAcappella.com is the provider of this Song Tracker. Simply stated, we have no interest in using your identifying information for any purpose other than to verify your identity as necessary to access and use the Song Tracker.
Our Pledge
We won't sell your information to anyone else, give your information to anyone else, or allow anyone outside of a very small set of authorized LeadAcappella personnel to view your information. Please note, however, that your church will have one or more Song Tracker administrator(s) who will be able to view all of your user information (except password) for purposes of administering your church's use of the Song Tracker.
Identifying Information We Collect
The only personally-identifying information collected by LeadAcappella includes your user name, full name, email address, and a password which is stored only in a strongly-hashed form.
Other Information We Collect and/or Store
When a new church account is registered, we collect and store the church's name and address information, primary contact name, and phone numbers. We may also store the identity of the hymnal used by your church, if a traditional book-style hymnal is used.
During your use of Song Tracker, cookies or other tokens may be stored on your computer to benefit your use and navigation of the website.
Your Rights
Users may request account deactivation. Submit this request to your church's Song Tracker administrator, who can perform this task.
Users may also request that personally-identifying information be permanently deleted from the Song Tracker. Upon receiving such a request, the user's account will be deactivated (if not already deactivated) and left in a deactivated state for a period of 30 days (the "grace/decision period"). You may request reactivation during this grace/decision period. If you do not request reactivation, full and permanent deletion can occur at 30 days following deactivation. Account deletion is permanent: once deleted, your account information cannot be recovered. Setting-up an entirely new user account would be your only option for reestablishing use of the system.
Your Responsibilities
Song Tracker is available to the World Wide Web. While this is a low-risk system - cybercriminals aren't very interested in hacking church song websites, fortunately - there are still measures that you need to take to ensure your account isn't compromised. The most important of these is your choice of password. Create a strong password, including a blend of characters (UPPER/lower case), numbers and special symbols like @, #, $, etc. But most importantly, create a unique password here. DO NOT USE THE SAME PASSWORD ON THIS WEBSITE THAT YOU USE ON MORE CRITICAL WEBSITES LIKE BANKS, FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, MEDICAL FACILITIES and such. Finally, do not share your user name and password. User accounts are free and easy to set-up. Account sharing makes the system LESS SECURE for everyone at your church.
Avoid "Phishing"
If you ever receive a phone call, email, or text from someone identifying themselves as being from LeadAcappella or Song Tracker, REMEMBER THIS:
- LeadAcappella will NEVER ask you for your password.
- LeadAcappella will NEVER ask for your bank account number, credit card number, or any other form of financial information.
- LeadAcappella will NEVER ask for your SSN (US), SIN (Canada), the names of your spouse/children/parents/anyone, or any other identifying information.
Any person asking you for this information is NOT from LeadAcappella. Hang up the phone. Delete the email or the text. Don't respond.
